Safety Day Set Friday

The public is invited to attend Oak Park Safety Day, which will be held from 2- 6 p.m., Friday, September 26 in McClatchy Park, an event that will feature numerous family activities, a Sacramento Police Department K-9 demonstration, plus free food and drink, a raffle and t-shirt giveaways.
Event co-sponsors include Pacific McGeorge’s Department of Public Safety, Victims of Crime Resource Center, and the Community Legal Services clinic.
Organizations that will be represented at the event include the UC Davis Medical Center, Cover the Kids, Women in Crisis, Weed & Seed, Wellspring, Sacramento Food Bank, SETA Head Start, WEAVE, Salvation Army, and the Oak Park Community Center.
The State Office of Emergency Services, Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency, and Medical Board of California will also have booths along with companies such as the Sacramento Fire Extinguisher Co.
