September 14, 2010

Tags: Faculty & Scholarship, 2010

Professor Jarrod Wong spoke on September 10, 2010, at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law's Fifteenth Investment Treaty Forum. The London conference, "Recent Developments in Investment Arbitration Procedure," brought together scholars and practitioners from throughout Europe and the United States.

As a panelist on "Transparency in Investment Arbitration," Wong discussed the 2006 transparency-related amendments to the ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes) arbitration rules. It is a subject he examines in a forthcoming co-authored chapter in the Vale Columbia Yearbook of International Investment Law and Policy.

The British Institute of International and Comparative Law, which was founded in 1895, is an independent research organization whose mission is to promote the rule of law in international affairs.

Wong, who counts an undergraduate law degree from Cambridge University among his many academic credentials, was a recent co-recipient of McGeorge's 2010 Sprankling Award for Legal Scholarship. He teaches Contracts, International Arbitration, and Remedies at the law school.
