Wirrell Named New Assistant Dean for Library Services

James Wirrell has been promoted to the position of Assistant Dean for Library Services at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Wirrell has held positions of increasing responsibility since he joined Pacific McGeorge in 2003. His previous duties included Interim Director of the Law Library (2013-2014), Head of Access Services/Senior Reference Librarian (2010-2013), Instructional Services Librarian (2008-10), and Circulation/Reference Librarian (2003-08). Wirrell previously served as Circulation/Reference Librarian at the University of Richmond School of Law, and Reference Librarian at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Wirrell received his B.A. at Simon Fraser University near Vancouver; his M.T.S. at Regent College at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver; his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia; and his J.D. and M.S.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
