Three of the 30 new judges named by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Superior Court on July 21 are McGeorge alumni.

Robert J. Kearney, '91, and Sim von Kalinowski, '80, are new judges in the San Diego County Superior Court. Kearney has served as a deputy district attorney with the San Diego County District Attorney's Office since 1993. Von Kalinowski has been a deputy city attorney with the San Diego City Attorney's Office since 1981.

Stuart Hing, '85, was appointed to the Alameda County Superior Court bench by the governor. Hing, the son of former Alameda County Administrator Mel Hing, has been a prosecutor in the Alameda County District Attorney's office since 1985.

More than 330 McGeorge graduates have served or are serving as Superior Court as judges, justices, commissioners and administrative law judges around the country.
