Pingree Busy At Baltimore Conference
July 27, 2006
Professor Greg Pingree participated in two panels at the 2006 Annual Meeting of the Law and Society Association, which took place July 6-9 in Baltimore.
He chaired an international panel, “Judging in a Comparative Context,” in which he presented his paper “Judge Steed’s Wild Ride: The Search for Legitimacy at the Intersection of Law, Culture, and Religion.” Professor Miriam Cherry, a new faculty member who previously taught at Sam Ford University’s Cumberland School of Law, served as the discussant on the panel. Pingree also served as both chair and discussant for a panel, “Same-Sex Marriage: Legal and Policy Debates,” which featured both law professors and political scientists.
