New Class Measures Up
August 25, 2009
McGeorge’s new 340-member class of 2009 boasts strong credentials that rival any of the best and brightest incoming groups of recent years.
The new Day Division (246) carries a median LSAT of 158, marking the sixth straight at that lofty level. It also weighs in with an undergraduate grade-point average of 3.41, significantly higher than last year’s 3.30 and only a tick off the all-time high set three years ago. The Evening Division (94) is the smallest part-time group in 10 years, but brings a record-high average UGPA of 3.30 to go with its median LSAT of 155. The new students participated in a week-long orientation program from August 10-14 that included a raft trip, mock classes, an official welcome from Dean Elizabeth Rindskopf Parker, an oath of professionalism administered by Judge Morrison England Jr., ’83, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, and barbeques too numerous to count.
