Lightbody Wins Internship

Sarah Lightbody was one of only 27 candidates nationwide to selected for a National Academy of Sciences internship this summer in Washington, D.C.

The Cornell University graduate, who is enrolled in Pacific McGeorge’s Intellectual Property Law Concentration Program, will be working in the Academy’s Policy and Global Affairs Division. Topics with which she will be involved include the determination of intellectual property rights for genomics and proteomics (including patents granted), food safety, quarantine law, and the role of the Institutional Bio-Safety Committee's in dual-use research.
