Professor Daniel Croxall, an expert on regulatory and business issues that impact craft breweries in California, recently launched the blog http://www.craftbeerprofessor.com/.

"I started practicing in the craft-beer law arena because I recognized an underserved client base in one of the most energetic but over-regulated industries," said Croxall. "The blog is a natural follow-on to communicate the serious legal issues that craft breweries face on a daily basis. It is an interesting confluence of a number of areas of the law, including constitutional issues, that are being litigated in courts across the country."

Posts on the active blog include "Seriously. Who Cares About Craft Beer Laws?" and "Why Craft Beer Should Care About a Shifting Commercial Speech Analysis." The blog's focus is to discuss current issues and laws that impact the craft beer industry, and occasionally touch on related issues. He also can be followed on Twitter as @GoodBeerLawProf.

Professor Croxall teaches in the Global Lawyering Skills program at McGeorge and coaches in the school's Moot Court program. He graduated from McGeorge in 2008 with great distinction, and began his legal career at DLA Piper LLP (US) where his practice focused on complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Professor Croxall remained with the same practice group for the next five years, and opened his own law firm, Croxall Law, in 2013 to focus his practice on representing California craft breweries and estate planning. He joined McGeorge as an assistant professor of lawyering skills in 2016.
