Professor Linda Carter will serve as the Program Director for Summer 2013. Professor Carter is the and has been a professor at Pacific McGeorge for 27 years.
She has expertise in international criminal law and comparative legal systems. She has worked as a Visiting Professional at the International Criminal Court in The Hague and at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Tanzania. Professor Carter also co-directs the Brandeis Institute for International Judges, which convenes judges from a variety of international tribunals, including the World Trade Organization Appellate Body, the International Court of Justice, the international criminal courts, the international human rights courts (including the African Court of Human and Peoples Rights), the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the Caribbean Court of Justice, and the European Court of Justice. She has studied the Gacaca trials in Rwanda and taught as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in Senegal. Professor Carter has taught in several ABA approved summer foreign programs, including the Pacific McGeorge programs in Salzburg and St. Petersburg and Southwestern Law School's program in Vancouver. She works with students seeking international internships and coaches an international moot court team.
