Technology Services

The Gordon D. Schaber Law Library recognizes the increasing role played by technology in the practice of law. The library is a fully networked environment providing wired and wireless access, printing and copying, scanning, audio visual capabilities, and alternative media.

The library uses the GoPrint/Debitek cash card system for printing and photocopying. The charge is 10 cents per page.

Equipment Locations

Computer Lab

  • 28 desktop computers with Microsoft and Corel Office Suites
  • Scanner station with Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop Elements

Printer Room

  • Two high-speed B/W laser printers
  • LexisNexis and Westlaw system printers
  • Two photocopiers
  • Two GoPrint Paystations

Reserve Area

  • One public access station
  • One photocopier
  • Three video playback stations in open reserve
  • One group viewing playback station in Study Room 182

Reference Room

  • Three public access computer stations
  • One Attorney access computer
  • One photocopier
  • One scanner

Network Access

The library has wireless and wired network access for students.

  • Wired Access — students may check out Ethernet cord at the circulation and Stacks 1 and 2 are equipment with plug-ins
  • Wireless access is available throughout the library
    • PacificNet is available to students
    • PacificNet PRO is available to staff and faculty
    • PacificGuest is available to other patrons

Microforms

Research materials held in microfilm and microfiche are located in Stacks 1. The library is equipped with a reader/printer system for both formats. Please inquire at the Reference desk for assistance.
