Reserve Services
Reserves
- High demand items, including past exams, nutshells, hornbooks, many current practice guides, and materials for classes have been placed on Reserve, and may be checked out for 2 hours for in-library use only.
- Most audio-visual materials held at the Circulation desk may be checked out for 3 days and may be taken home. Audio-visual materials for Advocacy and for other skill-based or performance-based classes must be viewed or listened to in the library.
- A current Pacific McGeorge student ID or Library card is required for checking out Reserve items.
- Overdue Reserve items are subject to a $1.00 per hour fine per item during the hours that the Library is open.
Study Rooms
- Several study rooms are available to current Pacific McGeorge law students. Recent alumni who are studying for the bar exam are also eligible to use study rooms.
- Groups of two or more students may reserve study rooms up to six days in advance. Two names must be listed on the reservation log to reserve a room. Individual students may sign up for a room on the day they wish to use it.
- Rooms are reserved on an hour to hour basis with a maximum of 4 hours per day for a group and 2 hours per day for an individual. This hourly limit is per day and not per room.
- Rooms are reserved for one hour at a time in up to four hour blocks. Any group more than ten minutes late will lose that hour of their reservation.
- Food is not permitted in study rooms and drinks must be in library approved containers. As a courtesy to all library patrons, cell phone use is not allowed in study rooms.
- While study rooms are intended for small group study, please keep in mind that the study rooms are not sound proofed. Please keep your discussion to quiet conversational tones.
Video Playback System
- Four video pods are available in the Information Commons for student, faculty, alumni or attorney use to watch DVDs or videotapes.
