$1,000,000+

Donor: The Hugh & Hazel Darling Foundation

Named: The Hugh & Hazel Darling Foundation Grand Salon

The Hugh & Hazel Darling Foundation is particularly interested in supporting education in California, with emphasis on legal education. One of the main focuses of the foundation is to provide support that will benefit students directly. Donor: Fletcher Jones Foundation

Named: TBD

The Fletcher Jones Foundation’s primary emphasis is the support of the private colleges and universities in California. The Fletcher Jones Foundation support has been felt across the Pacific family as they were a major contributor to the Stockton campus’ library campaign and are an integral part of the law school’s Legal Studies Center.

$100,000-$499,999

Donor: Arata Bros. Trust

Named: TBD

The Arata Bros. Trust was established primarily for the development of arts, health, education, and youth and social services in the Sacramento Community. The trust, which includes law alumnus Francis Dillon, ’55, among its board members, has long supported education in the community and at Pacific McGeorge. The Trust chose to focus its investment on enhancing technology in the Legal Studies Center.

Donor: Pacific McGeorge Alumni Board of Directors

Named: Alumni Study Area

The Alumni Association Board represents the Alumni at-large as a voice to the current Dean, faculty and staff at Pacific McGeorge. The Board meets to discuss priorities and activities for alumni and ways in which alumni can advise, mentor, and inspire current students. The Alumni Association Board of Directors – both current and past – chose to invest in naming space in the new Legal Studies Center that will serve as a reminder to current and future students that their relationship with Pacific McGeorge does not end at graduation. The Alumni Study Area will serve as a lasting reminder that there are many ways to give back, and many ways to support current students and the law school.

Donor: Nevada Alumni

Named: Nevada Legal History Area

Nevada and Pacific McGeorge have long had a relationship when it comes to legal education. Many of the judges and lawyers who have shaped Nevada law over recent decades have been educated at Pacific McGeorge, including James Hardesty, Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court, among other alumni leaders. The alumni of Nevada have agreed to create a space that honors the past and the future of this relationship. A bequest from the late Bob Butler, ’74, is an example of the enduring connection between Pacific McGeorge and its Nevada alumni.
