Class of 2015 @ Work

Many of the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific's Class of 2015 alumni have found great positions in the workforce after graduation. Here are 16 alumni who graduated in 2015, and where they have launched their law career.

California is still experiencing a relatively flat legal market for recent graduates.  "[In California,] total job placement remains flat. There were 2807 unfunded, "full-weight" positions (full-time, long-term, bar passage-required and J.D.-advantage) for the Class of 2015, essentially unchanged from the 2849 from last year," according to Derek T. Muller, Associate Professor of Law, Pepperdine University School of Law. At McGeorge, the number of students with legally-related jobs (that were long-term and full-time) ten months after graduation increased by 25, from 111 to 136, and the total number of students employed increased by 26, from 141 to 167.  For more details, click here

Of the 228 graduates in 2015, 61 are currently employed in government, public interest and clerk positions. The success of McGeorge alumni in government careers stems from the law school's deep roots in state and federal government and the work of the Capital Center for Law & Policy. The National Jurist recognized McGeorge School of Law among 20 top law schools for excellence in public service careers in the government category in its Winter 2016 edition of PreLaw magazine, along with Notre Dame Law School, Washington University and American University. McGeorge was ranked No. 3 in Government Law.

The lists below show some of the government offices, public interest organizations, private firms and in-house counsel locations where Class of 2015 graduates now work. More details about the Class of 2015 employment are in this summary (pdf).
