Public Law & Policy Track

Students earn the LL.M. in U.S. Public Law & Policy after completion of 24 units of study with a cumulative grade point average of 2.33 on a 4.33 scale. Candidates for the Public Law & Policy track meet individually with the Director of Graduate and International Programs office to craft a course of study tailored to their particular interests and designed to maximize preparation for their specific career goals.

An LL.M. student's individualized curriculum will include a combination of the following:

  • Those seeking preparation for a career in the public sector or in a private law firm that represents public agencies.
  • Experienced attorneys who want to switch the focus of their practice to government law, or want to add depth to on-the-job experience in government law with a comprehensive program of graduate study.
