LL.M. Student Life

As a Pacific McGeorge graduate student, you will join an international community comprised of students from all over the world. Your future classmates will be from countries such as Austria, Botswana, China, Egypt, India, Nigeria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Sacramento’s professional population of lawyers, business leaders, and policy-makers make it an ideal place to build a career. Here in the heart of California, you will enjoy sun, culture and recreation while studying the law. Minutes from campus, you will find the fun and history of Old Sacramento and the Delta Waterways, downtown fine dining and entertainment — and, of unique importance to lawyers — a location only three miles from the Governor's office where the decisions for the worlds' 9th largest economy are made.

The city of Sacramento is a fun place to live and learn, and when it is time to hit the books, Pacific McGeorge has varied study spaces to meet your needs. The student center has dining services, couches, a large-screen TV and conference room space for group study. The Legal Studies Center houses a well-equipped library and dozens of unique study spaces both inside and outside.

You can choose to live on-campus in student housing or off-campus in an apartment or house. The Sacramento community is diverse and you will have no problem finding several fun and educational extracurricular activities to do in between classes and studying.

When you arrive for orientation before your first semester, you will receive special assistance with course selection, class success, and adjusting to student life in the United States. The small LL.M. class size makes it easy to bond and get to know everyone in the program. You will make lifelong friends — and connections — at Pacific McGeorge, while adding a degree specialization that will enhance your career.
