Professor Thompson joined the Pacific McGeorge faculty in 2003, after five years as a labor and employment associate in Los Angeles. She worked at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal from 1998 to 2000 and at Winston & Strawn from 2000 to 2003. As a labor and employment associate, Professor Thompson defended employers in most areas of employment-related litigation, including claims of wrongful termination in violation of public policy, discrimination, breach of contract, sexual harassment, retaliation, and violation of wage and hour laws in both state and federal courts.
