Guangzhou Workshops Announcement
China Workshops in Advocacy and Clinical Skills Set for Summer
For three weeks in July, 2008, Pacific McGeorge and American University, Washington College of Law (WCL) will lead workshops in advocacy and clinical education in Guangzhou, China. Pacific McGeorge will run the advocacy workshop and WCL will run the clinical workshop.
The advocacy workshop will be led by Pacific McGeorge Professors Cary Bricker, Fred Galves, Mary Beth Moylan, George Harris, Brian Landsberg and Jarrod Wong. The workshop in clinical education will be led by WCL Professors Elliott Milstein, Susan Bennett, Robert Dinerstein, and David Chavkin.
By adopting the new courses to be developed by this program, China will begin expanding its ranks of legal professionals with strong skills in community problem-solving. Such a cadre will enable China to advance the rule of law by promoting ethics, professionalism and transparency.
