In December 2009, Pacific McGeorge held the first of a two series training on teaching experiential legal education in Wuhan, China for our Phase II participating schools. The second portion of the training recently took place in
Chengdu, China from July 26 - August 2nd, 2010.
Topics for the training included:
- Teaching Theory of Case and Investigation
- Client Relationships: Ethics, Values and Attitudes
- Supervision Techniques
- Teaching Negotiation
- Program Design
The same trainees from the Wuhan workshop attended the second workshop in Chengdu.
They include six professors from each of the following Phase II participating schools in China:
Central China University of Science and Technology
North University of Nationalities
Southwest University of Science and Technology
Southwestern University of Finance and Economics
Wuhan University
Professors from Pacific McGeorge, American University and Villanova University Law School along with five Chinese professors from each our Phase I partner schools, China University of Political Science and Law, Zhejiang Gongshang University, South China University of Technology, and Professor Wang Shirong from the Committee of Chinese Clinical Legal Educators and Northwest University of Politics, Science and Law, lead the Chengdu training.
