Transfer Students Application

Procedures & Requirements

You may be accepted with advanced standing to Pacific McGeorge School of Law after having completed one or more years at another accredited law school. Pacific McGeorge's policy allows you to transfer up to 32 credits in courses with satisfactory grades of C or better. You must furnish the following to the Admissions Office:

  • Official Law School Transcript: This document must contain grades for the full academic year currently being completed.
  • Certification of Good Standing: Obtainable from your current law school, this document contains your academic results for the year currently being completed and includes certification of your class standing.
  • Undergraduate Transcript: This document is available from your undergraduate degree-granting institution.
  • Application Form: You must complete and submit an application form. For the personal statement, please provide your reasons for applying to transfer to Pacific McGeorge. Obtain a fee waiver and start the application process, or start the application process without a waiver. Please note, you must have an account with the LSAC.
  • Application Fee: A nonrefundable application fee of $50, must be submitted with your application if you do not have a fee waiver. Use the above link to waive your application fee.
  • LSDAS/LSAT Report: As an applicant to Pacific McGeorge, you must submit a copy of your LSDAS report, including your LSAT score. This report is usually available from your law school registrar.

Notification of Acceptance: Because application decisions are based on a transcript and certification of good standing containing information about the academic year just completed, Pacific McGeorge usually notifies transfer students of their acceptance in mid-July.
