Tuition & Fees for Graduate Programs
For Academic Year 2012-2013
- LL.M. Tuition: $1,180 per unit* ($14,160 per semester for minimum full-time course load of 12 units, $7,080 for minimum part-time course load of six (6) units)
- J.S.D. Tuition: $1,180 per unit* while in residence, followed by a two (2)-unit dissertation fee ($2,360) per semester once a student has advanced to candidacy
* Graduate tuition is charged on a per unit basis. If a student chooses to take additional units beyond the minimum required for either full or part-time enrollment, tuition will be charged at the total number of units times $1,180 per unit.
Mandatory Student Fees
- Student Bar Association Fee: $50 ($25 Fall Semester/$25 Spring Semester)
- Student Health Insurance Plan: $1,462 ($731 Fall Semester/$731 Spring Semester)*

Miscellaneous Fees
- Late Registration/Tuition Payment Fee: $50
- Add/Drop Fee: $40 (After the second week of classes each semester)
- Transcript Fee: $5
- Return Check Fee: $25
- Installment Payment Plan Set-Up Fee: $40
- Installment Payment Late Fee: $20
Tuition Payment Policy
All tuition and fees are due to Pacific McGeorge School of Law before the first day of classes.
- Fall Term — Aug. 13, 2012
- Spring Term — Jan. 9, 2012
- Summer Term — May 14, 2012
If the student is eligible for and will receive student loans, the Business Office will work with the Financial Aid Office to verify the amount of loan money the student will be receiving. Upon verification of the loan proceeds, tuition that will be covered by the funds will be deferred until receipt of the funds. Loan funds will be applied directly to the tuition account for all courses for the term. Payment, for any portion not covered by loan disbursement, is due by the tuition due date.
Payment must be received by Business Services by the tuition due date. Students may pay by check, cash, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). Payments may be made to Business Services by mail or in person, or, if paying by credit card, by phone 916.739.7054.
Note: If a student should pay their tuition & fees by credit card and future financial aid is received we are bound by our merchant agreement to credit your credit card.
If a student withdraws or is dismissed during the year, all outstanding obligations become due.
