Professor Amy LandersAmy Landers
Director, Intellectual Property Concentration
Professor of Law

Professor Landers graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1993. She began her law career as a law clerk for the Honorable Oliver W. Wanger, a U.S. District Court judge in the Eastern District of California. After her clerkship, she began practice at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where she became a partner in 2001. Professor Landers has extensive experience litigating complex patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters, as well as business torts in complex and high stakes cases for high technology and Fortune 100 clients. Professor Landers' scholarly interests focus on intellectual property matters, particularly patent law.

Professor Michael MirelesMichael S. Mireles
Associate Professor of Law

Professor Michael Mireles teaches and writes in the intellectual property law field. He also teaches Property Law, and Wills and Trusts. His scholarship has appeared in many law reviews and he has taught a number of different intellectual property law courses. He is a graduate of Pacific McGeorge, and has an LL.M. in intellectual property from the George Washington University Law School. He also clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, practiced law at the Downey Brand law firm, and taught at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and in Germany. He has served on the board of directors of several professional and community organizations.

Professor John SpranklingJohn G. Sprankling
Distinguished Professor and Scholar

Professor Sprankling is a nationally-recognized authority on property law. His treatise Understanding Property Law is used by law students across the country. His newest book, written with Professor Coletta and M.C. Mirow, is Global Issues in Property Law – the first classroom text in the nation that brings international and comparative law issues into the basic property course. His articles on property and land use issues have appeared in a number of leading law journals, including the UCLA Law Review, University of Chicago Law Review, and the Cornell Law Review. Professor Sprankling began his legal career with Miller, Starr & Regalia, one of the nation's largest property law firms. He practiced there for 14 years, ultimately serving as its managing partner. After teaching at UC Hastings College of the Law and Stanford Law School, he joined the Pacific McGeorge faculty in 1992. At Pacific McGeorge, he has served as Interim Dean and as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He has also served as the chair of the Property Law Association of American Law Schools.

Gregory T. Meath, Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Meath received his J.D. (1995) and an LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice (1996) from Pacific McGeorge. He also has a Certificate in E-Commerce Fundamentals (2000) from Pacific's Eberhardt School of Business. His practice focuses on domestic and international trademark, copyright, computer and Internet law, as well as international law. He is partner at Meath & Pereira in Stockton, CA. Professor Meath currently teaches Computer & Internet Law.

Thomas D. Brierton, Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Brierton is an Associate Professor of Business Law at the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. He holds a J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law and a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin. Professor Brierton has taught a variety of courses at the graduate level, including Entertainment Law in the University of the Pacific's Music Management program. As an attorney, he has litigated a wide variety of cases in private practice and served as a consultant to small businesses in the commercial and employment law areas. Professor Brierton teaches Entertainment Law.

Richard H. Hyde, Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Hyde received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. He is in private practice specializing in property law, redevelopment law, and sports law. Professor Hyde teaches Sports Law.

Matina R. Kolokotronis, Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Kolokotronis received her J.D. from Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1989, preceded by a B.A. from Loyola University in Chicago. She is currently an associate at Hyde, Miller, Owen & Trost in Sacramento. She is also Special Counsel for Maloof Sports and Entertainment, owner of the Sacramento Kings basketball team. Professor Kolokotronis teaches Sports Law.
