Douglas-ScottProfessor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott

Professor of European and Human Rights Law, Oxford University, United Kingdom

Professor Douglas-Scott has been co-teaching in Salzburg with Justice Kennedy since 1993. She received her B.A. at University College London and the University of Paris, her LL.M. at London School of Economics. She has been a Barrister of Gray's Inn, sometime Senior Lecturer at the Inns of Court School of Law, London, and Jean Monet Visiting Professor of European Economic Law at the University of Bonn, Germany.

 

John SimsJohn Sims

Professor Sims has been a member of the Pacific McGeorge faculty since 1986. He teaches Constitutional Law and International Protection of Human Rights on the Sacramento campus. He is a founding co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of National Security Law and Policy, a peer-reviewed law review devoted to the broad range of issues related to national defense. Prior to entering legal academia, Professor Sims was an attorney for the Public Citizen Litigation Group, a public interest law firm founded by consumer advocate Ralph Nader. Professor Sims handled a wide range of complex cases at all levels of the state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. He was involved in several significant constitutional cases, including Chadha v. INS and Snepp v. United States. Professor Sims received his A.B. from Georgetown University and his J.D. from Harvard.

 

Joe Smallhoover

Joseph J. Smallhoover

Mr. Smallhoover received his B.A. from Duke University, M.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is a former adjunct professor at the University of Paris, France. Mr. Smallhoover is managing partner in the Paris office of Bryan Cave. He is a member of the State Bars of California and Pennsylvania, as well as of France, England and Wales.

 

 

Mike Vitiello

Michael Vitiello

Professor Vitiello is a Distinguished Professor and Scholar at Pacific McGeorge. A nationally-recognized expert on criminal law, his articles appear in leading journals and his work is widely cited by scholars around the country. He is particularly well-known for his expertise on matters involving sentencing reform, California’s Three Strikes Law, and that state’s medical marijuana law. Vitiello holds a B.A. from Swarthmore College and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Tim NaccaratoTim Naccarato is the Principal Assistant Dean for Academic & Student Life at Pacific McGeorge. He is a 1977 graduate of the law school and served as an Army MP and JAG officer from 1970 -1998. After leaving the Army, he was a civil litigator in private practice for four years and joined Pacific McGeorge in 2002. He teaches Principles of Agency and Criminal Law and was the Salzburg Summer Program Administrator in 2008 and 2009.
